Today, Ateneo is celebrating 150 years since the return of the Jesuits in the Philippines and the establishment of the institution we all love! That being said, I went to mass with Mich and Photo Staff peeps celebrating the said event. After the event, the mass attendees were treated to a simple snack of a bottle of C2 and a cupcake. Not just any regular cupcake, but a Sesqui Cupcake! hahaha. They were actually good. =)
Thanks to James Magalong for lending me a hand, literally. hahaha. That’s his hand. =)

Peeps from Ateneo High School, impossible makalimutan ninyo siya. =)
We interviewed Fr. RB Hizon, SJ (HS Principal) for a certain article for the next issue of The Guidon last Friday. He barely changed since I left A.H.S. over 3 years ago. He still has all those crucifixes in his room (he collects them as hobby) and he’s still the most buff priest I personally know. hahaha. Also, one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. It’s nice he still remembers me, though not by name but only by face. =)
JUST SO IT’S CLEAR: According to Fr. RB, the sesquicentennial celebration tomorrow isn’t really for the establishment of the Ateneo as the institution we all know but it’s for the return of the Jesuits in the Philippines after being expelled by Church leaders back then from almost every part of the known world since they were the Church’s version of “rebels”. hahaha.=)

The Guidon Photo Staff had a lighting seminar mentored by RJ Remulla, also a former Guidon Photo Staff member. It was fun since most of the staff members were there! =)
Special Thanks to the Mariposa’s for the use of their house, RJ for the knowledge, all who came and Ean Dacay for taking this photo. hahaha

This is the list of the 53 of the 64 helpless souls who got murdered almost 2 weeks ago taken last Tuesday in a forum on the Maguindanao Massacre.
Let us not forget this event or else the death of these women and journalists would be in vain. I honestly think the problem with most Filipinos is that we tend to forgive and forget fast even the gravest of crimes against our people. Masyado tayong mapagpatawad, masyado tayong makalilimutan. Maybe thats why we’re still in this slump.
